Fed: Swan defends his actions ahead of audit report release

The findings of a commonwealth auditor-general's investigation of the OzCar affair
are expected to be made public this week.

Federal Treasurer WAYNE SWAN isn't saying if he's seen the report .. but he's told
the Nine Network he can't pre-empt its findings.

Mr SWAN was the target of opposition accusations he favoured a car dealer mate of Prime
Minister KEVIN RUDD over access to the taxpayer-funded Ozcar financial assistance scheme.

Mr SWAN says he acted appropriately .. and the whole smear campaign was based on a
fake email that clearly involved the Liberal party and its leader MALCOLM TURNBULL.
