BRISTOL'S Cameron Balloons has drifted into aviation history aftermillionaire adventurer Steve Fossett became the first man to fly soloaround the world.
At 2.53pm BST yesterday over the ocean south of Australia,Fossett, in his silvery Spirit of Freedom balloon, crossed east of117 degrees longitude, the line from which he set off two weeks ago.
The balloon was made by Cameron Balloons of Bedminster, wherestaff joined in the celebrations.
Managing director Don Cameron said: "It is fantastic.
