United Bank names president for the Charleston market president

Julie Gurtis has been named United Bank's Charleston marketpresident.

As market president, Gurtis leads a staff of about 150 andoversees United's offices on Virginia Street East, Charleston TownCenter, and Kanawha City and in Big Chimney, Dunbar, Teays Valleyand the Logan area. The company also has an operations center atPatrick Street Plaza that employs about 150.

Charleston is United's largest market in West Virginia.

United said Gurtis will be responsible for all banking activitiesin the market, continuing United's tradition of empowering itspresidents to make decisions at the local level.
