Despite increased competition from Australia, France and the Northwest, the popularity of California Chardonnay does not seem to be fading. In terms of retail sales, it still leads the white wine pack, especially in the price range between $10-15. We put some of the best-known California Chardonnays up against a few less familiar wineries, and the results were a little surprising. Here's our top three listed in alphabetical order.
