Fed: APPF calls for destruction of landmines

The Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum wants all countries to destroy their stockpiles
of land mines as soon as possible.

The meeting of 109 parliamentarians from 23 countries has resolved to ask all members
to accede to the Ottawa Convention banning the use, stockpiling, production and transfer
of anti-personnel mines.
