Fed: Native title, Aboriginal rights on Clark agenda
Re-elected ATSIC leader GEOFF CLARK says he will continue to bring attention to theplight of his people and fight for native title rights.
Mr CLARK has been returned as the chairman of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait IslanderCommission for another three years by a slim margin of nine votes to eight today.
Queensland commissioner RAY ROBINSON has been returned as deputy chair, while WestAustralian commissioner TERRY WHITBY's been elected deputy alternative.
An 18th commissioner will now be elected from the Victorian region to replace Mr CLARKas local representative.
