Fed: Govt vows not to give up Skase hunt amid reports of illness

The federal government has vowed not to give up the chase for fugitive businessman
CHRISTOPHER SKASE, despite claims by doctors the former Qintex chief is battling terminal
cancer.

SKASE is tipped to leave his hideaway on the exclusive Spanish island of Majorca within
the next two weeks, after a court ordered his deportation almost a fortnight ago.

But it's still unclear where he'll go.

He holds a passport for the Caribbean Commonwealth of Dominica but Australia already
has extradition arrangements in place there.
