Renault names new managers.(People)

Renault named two new members to its management committee, covering engineering and resources roles. The two managers started their jobs January 2.

Michel Balthazard, 53, is senior vice president of pre-engineering, projects and requirements. He joined Renault in 1980 and was most recently director of the third-generation Laguna.

Corporate resources director Christian Esteve, 58, joined Renault's finance department in 1987. He led negotiations to buy Renault's Romanian unit Dacia in the late 1990s and was named deputy corporate secretary general in 2003. …
